RoLens privacy policy

Summary

RoLens does not collect or share any personal data. dyrt operates no servers for RoLens and receives no data from it. Everything RoLens saves stays in your browser. The only data that leaves your device, beyond the requests described below, is an inbound trade alert you set up yourself.

Data sources

Requests to Rolimon's and RoUtility never include cookies or any information about you.

• Rolimon's (api.rolimons.com) provides the public item value table, and the inventory of a player whose profile you open. Only that player's user ID is sent, so Rolimon's can see which profiles are viewed, but not who is viewing them.
• RoUtility (routility.io) provides details for individual items shown on the page you are viewing. Only the item ID is sent, so RoUtility can see which limited items are viewed, but not who is viewing them.

Either source can be turned off in the RoLens popup, which stops all requests to it.

Requests to Roblox

• Item images and, for trade proofs, avatar headshots are requested from thumbnails.roblox.com without cookies. Trade proofs are drawn on your device and are never uploaded.
• When trade list previews are on, RoLens reads your trade list and the trades shown on screen from trades.roblox.com, as the Roblox website itself does, using your existing session. The contents of those trades (item IDs, item names and Robux amounts) are saved on your device only, so a trade is never requested twice. They are never sent anywhere.
• The duplicate trade warning reads your outbound trades the same way when you open the page to send a trade.
• The outbound trade tools read your outbound trades and your limited items (inventory.roblox.com, without cookies), and cancel only the trades you select and confirm, using your session.

Each of these features can be turned off in the popup.

Inbound trade alerts

Alerts are off by default. When you turn them on, RoLens reads the first page of your inbound trades from trades.roblox.com about once a minute while Chrome is open, with your session and read-only, and reads the items of each new trade. When a new trade passes your filters, RoLens sends an alert to the destinations you set up, and only to them:

• Desktop notification: a Chrome notification on your computer.
• Discord: your webhook posts to your channel. The message contains the trader's username and display name, the names and values of the items on both sides, Robux amounts, the totals and, if you entered one, a mention of your Discord user ID. Discord's privacy policy applies to it.
• ntfy: your topic on ntfy.sh receives the same information in plain text. Anyone who knows the topic name can read its messages, so RoLens generates a hard-to-guess name. ntfy's privacy policy applies to it.

The webhook address and topic are stored on your device only and never synchronised. Turning off a destination removes RoLens's permission to reach it.

Storage on your device

Cached item data, trade contents and your settings are stored in your browser with chrome.storage, which websites, including Roblox, cannot read. Saved trades belong to the signed-in Roblox account, are never shown to another account, and are removed after 60 days. Only settings may synchronise between your own Chrome profiles through Chrome Sync; saved data stays on your device. Clear under "Data on this device" in the popup removes saved trades, inventories and RoUtility estimates at any time. Removing the extension removes all of it.

Roblox pages

RoLens reads item links on roblox.com to determine which values to display. This information never leaves your browser. The optional dark mode for Roblox changes the page's appearance locally and makes no requests to Roblox.

Fonts

RoLens includes its own copy of the Inter typeface and loads it through a per-session URL, which prevents websites from using it to detect that RoLens is installed.

No analytics, advertising or tracking

RoLens contains no analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind, and its data is never sold or transferred to third parties. RoLens's use of data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

RoLens is open source, so every statement on this page can be checked in its code: github.com/Simon-commit/rolens

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new effective date, and the change is listed in the RoLens release notes.
