Google Forms extension · Open source

Crowdfill

A Chrome extension that fills Google Forms with realistic responses and lets you decide which way they lean. Every generated respondent has a mood, so their ratings, recommendations and comments agree with each other. It is made for testing forms you own and for building demo data.

Overall, how satisfied were you? Average 3.7
A question leaning towards one answer, calculated the way the extension does it. At 0% strength every answer is equally likely. On a scale, the extra weight spreads to the neighbouring answers.

Features

A tendency on any question

Every question can lean towards an answer, from plain random to almost always. The exact share of each option can be set too, and the expected result is shown as it changes.

A crowd with a mood

Choose a bell curve, a polarized crowd or anything goes, then set the average mood. One person's satisfaction score, recommendation and comments then fit together.

AI crowd

Describe the people you want and Claude writes complete respondents, each with a customer type, a mood and a bias. It runs on your own Anthropic API key.

Respects the form

Number ranges, text lengths, e-mail and URL rules, regular expressions and checkbox limits all pass. Section branching is followed the way a person would follow it.

Text that makes sense

Names, e-mail addresses, ages, cities, comments and suggestions are matched to each question, and one person's name and e-mail agree. A spreadsheet of real answers can be replayed instead.

Runs at your pace

A speed slider shows the wait time, responses per minute and total duration as it moves. Runs continue in the background with retries, pause, stop and scheduling.

Preview

Every response, before it is sent.

Crowdfill generates up to 2,000 sample responses on the spot and shows how each question came out. Any response can be opened as a pre-filled link or filled into the open form, and the whole set exports as CSV or JSON. Nothing reaches Google until a run is started.

Responsible use

  • Your own forms

Crowdfill is for forms you own or have permission to test. Using it on surveys, polls, votes or research run by others is against its acceptable use policy.

  • No workarounds

It does not get around sign-in requirements or one response per person, and it has no proxy rotation or CAPTCHA solving. Forms with those limits can only be submitted as yourself.

  • Stays in your browser

There are no Crowdfill servers, accounts or analytics. Forms, settings and history are stored on your device. The privacy policy lists every request it makes.

Questions

What is Crowdfill?
Crowdfill is a free Google Forms auto filler and response generator for Chrome. It reads a form, generates realistic respondents and submits their answers, with control over how every question leans.
How do I fill a Google Form automatically?
Open the form and click the Crowdfill icon, and it reads every question. Pick a crowd, look over the preview, then choose how many responses to send and how fast. Crowdfill can also fill the form on screen, so a single response can be checked by eye first.
Can it submit a Google Form more than once?
Yes. Choose a number and a pace, or spread the responses over a period like real traffic. Forms limited to one response per person, or that require sign-in, can only be submitted as yourself, and Crowdfill does not try to get around those limits.
What does a tendency do?
It makes answers random but leaning. A question set to lean towards 4 at 60% gives mostly 3s, 4s and 5s with a few low scores, much as a real survey does. The example at the top of this page runs the same calculation.
Can I use it on someone else's form?
No. Crowdfill is for forms you own or have clear permission to test. The terms of use and the acceptable use policy set this out.
Is it private?
Yes. Crowdfill has no servers and no tracking, and everything it saves stays in your browser. It contacts Google Forms to read and submit the forms you choose, and Anthropic only if you add your own API key. The privacy policy has the details, and the source is there to check them against.
Where can I install it?
Crowdfill is coming to the Chrome Web Store as a free extension for Chrome and other Chromium browsers, version 116 or newer. Until then it can be built and loaded from the source on GitHub, which is public under the MIT licence.
